Kibuli Secondary School is 66 years old this year. Celebrations to commemorate this landmark anniversary are scheduled in the first half of this year at school.

 

The enduring monument of the jubilee has been chosen to be the proposed Princess Ssangalyambogo Girls’ hostel that is anticipated to house 400 girls, which will greatly alleviate the acute accommodation situation of the female students at the school; out of the 1750 students, only 500 are girls.

 

The project whose foundation stone foundation stone was laid by the Kabaka in April 2010 is estimated to cost over 800 million shillings and needs to begin. All those in Kampala are encouraged to attend the jubilee organizing team meetings that are held every other Saturday at Hotel Africana 10.00am. The next meetings will be every Saturday starting on April 30th 2011.
